I was going through one of my favourite blogs (just to be down with the kids) Zoella fromYoutube and saw this crazy-assed pug manicure. I was struck by how cute and kitsch it was, not unlike the Top shop nail wraps with the rude bits and the cats on, but far more tasteful, and versatile.
I logged on straightaway to JanChristies site where my heart burst at all the wildlife stickers on there.
On Thursday I ordered two sets of the fox stickers, which are so reasonably priced, I almost felt sorry I wasn't ordering one set of each, and arrived home from a grocery shopping trip this morning to find the lovelies waiting for me. A very cute printed envelope contained my sheets of stickers and a very sweet little bag of samples to practise on. This is an excellent addition, as I proceeded to wreck 2 of them very quickly. I wasn't too sure at this point that I had made a wise purchase. They seemed very delicate and fiddly and I am shaky handed and ham fisted, but I persevered.
When The Voice was running through its anti-clamatic final I decided to give them a proper go. I applied 3 colours, pale and kitschy, a lemon, a light blue and a peach. I applied a matte top coat to speed up drying. I cut round the shapes very carefully. The trick is getting a corner of the sticker to lift without going mad and pulling on the sticker so it distorts. Then you place the sticker on the dry nail, you really only get one chance at this. Apply a top coat, and you have the cutest manicure around today.
3 OUT OF 3 for price, quality and customer service
You must remember these are stickers, not decals, so you don't wet them, or slide them. You treat them with care and prayers. All in all I am really pleased with the result, the service, and the products. An excellent innovation.
No collage, as I found it hard to pick up the detail with my BB..cannot find the good camera.
